Delani read these resolutions at the January 2020 guild meeting:
- To pull fabric from your stash instead of buying new yardage
- Keeping your sewing space neat and organized
- Finish your works-in-progress before starting a new quilt
- To finally make a quilt for yourself
- Starting your holiday projects and gifts early
- Do your own quilting instead of sending it to the quilters to be finished
- To stop promising you’ll make a quilt for your ______ (insert your won person here, mother, son, grandchild)
- To make more time for quilting
- Clean my sewing machine frequently
- Close the guard on my rotary cutter before it leaves my hand
- Spend some time sewing at least four days a week, even if it’s just half an hour
- Label my quilts
- Learn a new skill
- Teach someone to sew
- Sew something for charity
- Get together with other sewers
- Seek out inspiration
- Don’t beat myself up when I make a mistake
- Give my sewing some dedicated space in my home
Quilter’s New Year Resolution – My 2020 New Year’s Resolution is to finish all the quilt projects from 2019 that I should have done in 2018 after I started them in 2017 after planning them in 2016 and buying the fabric for them in 2015 while having the pattern for them since 2014.
