Schedule and Guidelines for entering quilts for Judging
This year the Archuleta County Fair will run from Thursday, July 31st through Sunday August 3rd .
- Quilt Receiving will be Friday July 25th from 10am to 2pm in the Exhibit hall. Please bring completed forms with your quilt(s). All forms can be found at the link below .
- Quilt Judging will be Saturday, July 26th staring at 1pm. If you would like to watch the Judging we ask that you please be respectful – No talking or other distractions will be allowed during the Judging. Anyone distracting the Judge will be asked to leave.
- Quilt Hanging will be Monday Morning from 9am to 11am (when the 4H kids come into the Exhibit Hall).
- Quilt Guardians will be needed for Thursday through Sunday (1 1/2 to 2 hour blocks) and the sign up link can be found here. Because the time blocks are shorter we will need more volunteers. Two people per block – one to greet visitors in the Challenge Quilt are and one to walk around and keep an eye on the quilts. If you would like a longer block of time, simply sign up for two or more consecutive blocks Thank you all for generously donating your time and sharing your beautiful works of art during this wonderful Fair!
- Please make sure your forms are completely filled out. Quilts with incomplete forms will be entered as ‘display only’.
